The Calm Before The Storm ~ Day 193

This was snapped with my phone so I apologize for how grainy it is.  They were playing so nicely together....

And in the blink of an eye, it all went down hill.  Neither of my babes is feeling very well today.  It made for a long day!

Pumpkin Patch Here We Come! ~ Day 184

This is my absolute favorite time of the year.  It is even more exciting now that I can share it with my children.  I hope to start a lot of traditions.  One tradition I started last year was a trip to the pumpkin patch.  Dell was in my belly last year, but this year he was happy to join in the fun!

We started off with some pictures at home.

Then some funny ones @ the farm.

 They had a huge area to play in the hay, complete with slides!  Can you spot Kensi in the background?

 We found a few fuzzy caterpillars.

 Dell wasn't sure what to think!

 He really loved the hayride!  He was just about to his melting point and then we got on the wagon.  What a life saver!

Time to pick our pumpkins!

 Dell thought this one sat nicely!

Apparently Brenden found a cozy one too!

One Of THOSE Days ~ Day 84

You know the kind.

Started off innocent enough.

Eye see you! (Get it?)

Check out my outfit.  Props to my Daddy!

Could there BE a cuter face?

Lunch rolled around & we were still doin' OK.  "Hey, whatcha doin' up there Mommy?"

We tried a little time outside....

"Yes, I'm mismatched.  I like it that way!  Because that's how I roll."

Shortly after this picture all heck broke loose!

Baby was tired.  Toddler was tired.  Mommy was tired. Sensing a theme?
Baby needed mommy.  Toddler wanted Mommy.  Toddler bounced & jumped on Mommy who was trying to nurse the baby.  Baby got mad.  Baby cried.  Toddler laughed.  Toddler got in baby's face to "comfort" him.  Baby cried louder.  Toddler "comforted" louder.  Mommy removed toddler from baby.  Toddler screamed & cried, kicked & squirmed.  Baby continued to cry.  Toddler continued to cry. Mommy started to cry..... You get the picture.

Moving on.....

There that's better.  A smile....

Day 69

Thursday...

We went to the zoo today and saw the brown bears kissing!

After being superbly overtired & raising quite

the fuss Dell finally passed out in the stroller.

These monkey's were very playful & so fun to watch!

 

After reading a story to Kensi & Dell, she read one to him.

Adventures In Crankiness ~ Day 67

Teething bites!

That's the saying, right?

Well it's true.

Teething infant & cranky toddler 

(do they need a reason other than "toddler"?) 

equals Mommy is going insane!!!!

So off for a walk we went.  To the pond.  To feed the ducks.

Only.  There weren't any ducks.  Oops.
( In case you couldn't tell she's not too happy about this.)

 Regardless the change of scenery & a little exercise did seem to make a difference.

A little yawn....

   

Soon some blank stares....

and a little creativity...

and we were headed home for lunch & nap!
