You Capture ~ Black & White

Time for another photo Challenge!  I wanted to play with this picture I took of Kensi & Dell watching it storm outside.  Here is what I came up with!

 I just love their matching diapers!  They are the Target Up & Up brand & I must say they are great!  I only have one complaint.  All sizes look exactly alike, and there is nothing on the diaper to say what size it is!  So we often get Dell's & Kensi's mixed up because even holding them up next to each other it is hard to tell!  Needless to say she has worn his size a few times, & he has wore hers!  Oops!

Before & After ~ Dell's Gigi & Great Grandma

Time for another edition of Before & After by Pixel Perfect.  I dug a little into the archives for this one.

This is a favorite picture I have of my mother & my dad's mother, my grandma.  This picture is very dear to me because my mother died suddenly this past March.

This picture was taken by a point and shoot.  I edited it in Lightroom 3, adjusted the white balance, turned up the brightness & contrast just a little, tweaked the clarity, saturation & vibrancy and added a Vignette.

Waking Up ~ Day 81

First item of business... Joining in on a couple of photo blog hops!
This is my first time ever participating in "Touch Up Tuesday"  



  Here is my before shot:

The color is all thrown off by the blue mat & it's reflection & the overcast day.  I tried playing with the colors/exposure/contrast in LightRoom but honestly?  The best & easiest fix was a black & white, shown below.

Make Me Laugh!! Photo Challenge & Our Sunday ~ Day 79

This weeks photo challenge @ the paper mama is "Make Me Laugh!!"

That is exactly what we did when I captured the moment below in a photo.
We were all sitting there enjoying some Olive Garden take out.  Since we were @ my
brother-in-law's house, I didn't have a high chair for Dell, and I was too lazy to I didn't
bring along the portable one.  So we sat him in the center of the table to eat.  We then joked
about half way though dinner how he was the cutest centerpiece EVER! 
  He seemed to think this was pretty funny too!

 Another highlight of our weekend was watching Kensington
play the piano for her baby brother.  He just loved it!

My daughter and I planted some dwarf sunflower seeds earlier in the spring.  After much watering, sun & love we finally have flowers!  Here is a shot I took today!
