Because I can't get enough of my little man eating!

For some reason he was so fascinated with the water today, even though we have done this a million times!  I guess it was the first time he really "noticed" it!

Dell's first word was "Dada" and it made it's debut yesterday!

For a 7 month old?  Equals = Parenting FAIL!

 But it also equals?  Oh SO CUTE!

 

Pigs Fly ~ Day 80

When my husband & I first got married he wouldn't touch broccoli.  

Now?  Yeah.  It's like his favorite vegetable.  Not kidding.  He actually bought some fresh

broccoli on his own.  Not only that?  But he is big into steaming the veggies now.  You

know.  Because they retain more of their vitamins that way.  How funny is that? 

I'm not complaining though.

And my stepson?  Brenden?  Well he HATES broccoli!  I mean HATES it.  

You'll never guess what he said tonight @ dinner.  He actually said.... get this.... 

that he liked whatever kind of broccoli it was we made tonight (fresh vs. frozen).

  I about fell over!  Because, did I mention?  He HATES it!

Or he did. 

So I guess maybe pigs DO fly?  Who knew?!

OK so I am getting off track.  

My point is we have been eating a lot of fresh, steamed broccoli lately. 

It's a perfect food for Baby Led Weaning too because Dell can just hold 

on to the stalk & munch away.  And boy does he ever! 

 Aahrrr! 

 

 Good stuff!

 

 We added some mashed potatoes into the mix.  Yum!

 

 Time for a quick rinse off!

 

Mommy & Me Time ~ Day 74

Mommy & Dell got to have a little quality time 

today, while his sister napped.

 

He tried avocado for the first time.  Not sure he liked it

but he sure had fun playing in it!

Then he enjoyed story time in his crib. 

Check out all that drool trickling all the way down to his tummy!

Sunday...

We didn't do much today.

Dell spent some time mastering a new toy.

Mommy spent some time lost in this baby boy's eyes.

 

We introduced new foods....

Today Dell had his very first taste of banana!  And I don't mean the pureed kind!  

We are following an approach to solids called Baby Led Weaning.

We did this with our daughter too & just loved it!  Check it out.
